Meet Our Team

WPTI Founders

Teri Elliott-Burke, MHS, PT, BCIA-PMDB, co-owner of WoMen’s Physical Therapy Institute, is a physical therapist with over 30 years of experience. She received a Masters in Health Science from the University of Indianapolis, a certificate in physical therapy from Northwestern University Medical School and a BA from North Central College. Teri was the 1999 Illinois Physical Therapist of the Year. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL since 1999 and recently joined the faculty of Herman Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has specialty training in pelvic dysfunction through the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Women’s Health Section and is a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society. Teri is certified through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback. She is also a frequent community speaker on women’s health issues.

Lynn O'Brien, President/COO and co-owner of Women's Physical Therapy Institute, has over 20 years of experience in business operations in physical rehabilitation. Lynn's primary responsibilities include business development and marketing, and strategic and budgetary planning. Her passion for WPTI is to be an advocate for patients to maximize insurance reimbursements and to always serve them with compassion and understanding. Lynn is a second-term board member of the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce, chairing both the annual Business/Community Expo and the Membership Committee. She is the president and co-founder of the area's largest businesswomen's networking group, WIN (Women in Networking). Lynn is also an active member of the Northwest Women's Connection, which is affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries.

Physical Therapists

Sandra Hilton, MS, PT has been a physical therapist for 22 years working with neurological, orthopedic, pelvic rehabilitation for men and women, and chronic pain disorders. She has specialized training in manual therapy for pelvic and chronic pain and is pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Sandra is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Women’s Health Section, a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society, and is interested in developing additional community education for self-treatment of chronic pain and pelvic dysfunction.

Lori Pothast, PT has nearly 25 years of experience as a physical therapist. She received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University Medical School. Lori has specialized training in the treatment of incontinence, pelvic floor strengthening, and pelvic pain for men and women through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health. She also treats patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in orthopedics, acute care, rehab and home health.

Rosie Radford, PT has over 10 years of experience as a physical therapist. She received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She has specialty training in pelvic physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association's Section on Women's Health. She treats women and men with pelvic dysfunction. She also treats patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in orthopedics, acute care, rehab and home health.

Lynn Robinson, PT has nearly 25 years of experience in treating patients with orthopedic, neurological and sports related diagnoses. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois. She specializes in both acute and chronic spinal conditions and has presented at numerous seminars on functional rehabilitation for people of all ages.

Kim Zack, PT has over 15 years of experience as a physical therapist. Kim graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree. She treats a variety of patients with musculoskeletal and post-operative diagnoses, specializing in back and neck pain, shoulder pain, and other joint and muscle conditions. Kim also has specialized training in the treatment of incontinence and pelvic floor strengthening for women through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health.

Management

Shannon Sabres, office manager for Women's Physical Therapy Institute, received her bachelor of science in marketing from Northern Illinois University and has over 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Shannon's career has continued to focus on operational development and marketing/communications in physical rehabilitation. She spent several years in insurance reimbursements and has a great appreciation for the challenges faced by patients in today's managed healthcare environment. Shannon supports the WPTI team and will always share the praises of their clinical expertise.
